Lady Cannoneers Weekend Volleyball Wrap-Up the regular season this past weekend at Corning CC.

This past weekend, the Lady Cannoneers traveled to Corning Community College for the last POD play of the regular season, facing off in three high-intensity matches that tested their grit and determination.

Saturday: Battles at Corning CC

On Saturday, 10/18/25, the Cannoneers opened with a hard-fought five-set victory over host Corning CC, rallying to take the match 3-2. Immediately following, they took on Onondaga CC in another marathon five-setter. Despite battling through every point, the Cannoneers fell just short in the decisive set, dropping the match 2-3. Both contests showcased the team's resilience and energy, as they played a total of ten sets in one day.

Sunday: Conference Finale

The weekend action continued Sunday, 10/19/25, as the Lady Cannoneers returned to Corning CC for their final regular season conference match. They capped off the weekend with an energetic and exciting 3-1 victory, ending their regular season on a high note and building momentum heading into postseason play.

Key Performances

·      Kills: Keira Guerriero led the offense with an impressive 39 kills, followed by Kaitlyn Pownall with 28 and Leah Ingerson with 16.

·      Assists: Setter Kali Waltz distributed the ball beautifully, racking up 50 assists. Abby Rudd contributed 27 assists, while Lilly De Alba added 13.

·      Service Aces: Leah Ingerson kept opponents on their toes with 9 aces, joined by Ryleigh Fleming (4) and Maura Natali (3).

·      Digs: Defensively, Kaitlyn Pownall recorded a remarkable 63 digs, Ryleigh Fleming had 61, and Keira Guerriero added 27.

·      Blocks: Up front, Jasmene Duymaz made her presence felt with 11 blocks, alongside Kaitlyn Pownall (7) and MaryAnn Tulafono (5).

The Lady Cannoneers will spend this week preparing for the conference championships, set for Saturday, 10/25/25 at Finger Lakes Community College.
