The Cannoneer runners headed to Roberts Wesleyan College Saturday for the Harry F. Anderson Cross Country Invitational. This was the largest Invitational yet hosted by Roberts Wesleyan with over 480 male and female runners from NCAA DII, DIII and NJCAA teams. The women's team was led by Alannah Cook who competed well in her first collegiate cross country race finishing the 5K course in 144th place with a time of 23:50.3. Alannah was the 3rd NJCAA finisher overall. She was followed by Madison Neukirch (159th in 24:37.4), Shania Spicer (170th in 25:43.7), Hanna Neukirch (193rd in 28:35.6), Maddi Sochia (199th in 29:01.1) and Erica Dixon (219th in 34:09.7).
The men were led by Adama Samake in his first ever cross country race as he finished the 8K course in 226th place with a time of 35:39.0. Adam was followed by Henry Chen (236th in 38:14.3), Jacob Maloney (241st in 40:17.1), Oscar Middleton (242nd in 40:47.5) and Noah Newton (244th in 41:03.1).
Both teams will travel to Cazenovia for the 11th Annual Cazenovia College Cross Country Invitational Saturday September 28th.
