Jefferson Volleyball Come home 2-1 in the TC3 Pod-Play
The volleyball team suffered their first loss to Corning Community College on Saturday but came back and defeated Tompkins Cortland and SUNY Broome in the TC3 Pod-Play.

The Lady Cannoneers traveled to Tompkins Cortland Community College for the first round of regional matches and came home 2-1. Jefferson faced Corning Community College first and lost in four sets: 20-25, 25-23, 16-25, and 21-25. Next up was TC3 who they defeated in three sets: 25-13, 25-13, and 25-19. The last match of the day was against SUNY Broome, and the team defeated them in five sets: 14-25, 25-20, 25-14, 19-25, and 15-13. Alea Gentles had a solid day at the net with 23 kills and 7 blocks. Cassie Birth added 29 kills, 46 digs, and 23 service points. Xanara Ruiz added 24 kills, 42 digs, and 26 service points while Chloe Stinebrickner had 85 assists and 18 digs. Hannah Rook added 12 kills and 4 blocks and Jenna Scott finished with 33 digs and 21 service points. Meaghan LaClair finished with 15 digs, Paige Durdun chipped in 15 digs and Mariah Corbett finished with 5 service points.
The team will travel to Onondaga Community College on Wednesday for their third conference match and this puts the Lady Cannoneers at 9-1 overall.
