Jefferson Volleyball Comes Home with a Victory over Finger Lakes
The Jefferson Women's Volleyball Team defeated their hosts the Finger Lakes Lady Lakers in 5 sets last night.
The Lady Cannoneers traveled to Finger Lakes last night for their first conference match. After two and half hours of grueling battle the ladies came home with a victory in 5 sets, 17-25, 16-25, 25-20, 25-23, and 15-11. Captain Jenna Scott led the defense with 44 digs and 6 service points. Outside hitter Grace Wallace compiled 24 service points and 8 kills while Cassie Birth had 9 kills and 29 digs. Captain Miquella Farris added 14 digs and 6 kills. Alea Gentles was big in the middle with 13 kills and Kaety Hanlin added 2 kills. Chloe Stinebrickner compiled 29 assists while Olivia Heiler added 7. The team moves to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference. Come out next Wednesday, September 16th to support the girls at home in their second conference match against OCC.
