Jefferson Volleyball Continues to Roll
The Lady Cannoneers had another successful weekend going 2-1 in Regional play.
At the Hudson Valley Pod the Lady Cannoneers came home This places Jefferson 5th among 18 teams. They first defeated Columbia-Greene in three sets: 25-5, 25-11, 25-9, then fell to a tough Adirondack team in four sets: 22-25, 25-23, 21-25, 18-25, and finally defeated Hudson Valley in four sets: 25-18, 25-6, 23-25, and 25-16. Captain Haley Riley once again led the way compiling 28 kills, 21 digs, and 25 service points. Grace Wallace added 14 kills, Mel Fakatou had 18 kills, and Marissa Brown added 11 kills for the day. Jayne Strigle led the defense with 55 digs, Kelly Musgraves had 22, while Rachael Waite compiled 27 digs respectively. Jenna Hibbard finished the day with 68 assists and Olivia Heiler added 15. The team will travel to Cayuga on Wednesday for a very important conference/regional match at 6:00.
