Welcome Kennady Amo as the New Head Coach of Jefferson Women's Soccer
Jefferson welcomes Kennady Amo as new Head Coach for Women's Soccer.
Jefferson Community College is excited to announce the hiring of Kennady Amo as the new Head Coach of the Jefferson Women's Soccer program.
A lifelong passion for soccer and a commitment to student-athlete development have shaped Kennady's journey to coaching. Raised on the sidelines while her father coached, she was immersed in the game from an early age, attending practices, games, and summer clinics long before she fully understood the sport. Those experiences allowed her to witness firsthand the power of athletics to build character, discipline, leadership, and resilience.
As a former student-athlete at SUNY Oneonta, Kennady's four years on the soccer field provided far more than athletic development. Being part of a team fostered a strong sense of community while teaching valuable life and professional skills, including time management, accountability, collaboration, and leadership. These experiences left a lasting impact and inspired her desire to coach and mentor the next generation of student-athletes.
"I gained so much from my experience as a student-athlete, both on and off the field," said Amo. "My goal as a coach is to help players grow not only as soccer athletes but also as confident, responsible, and resilient individuals. I want to create an environment where our student-athletes can thrive, build meaningful relationships, and develop skills that will serve them long after their playing careers are over."
Please join us in welcoming Kennady Amo to the Jefferson Community College family as she begins this exciting new chapter leading the Women's Soccer program.
