Jefferson Lady Cannoneers Blow By the Jefferson Alumni
On Saturday the Jefferson Women's Basketball Team defeated the Jefferson Alumni 80-40.
The Jefferson Women Cannoneers took the floor this past Saturday for the annual Robert F. Williams Alumni game. In front of one of the largest crowds in recent memory, the lady Cannoneers teamed up with a wonderful turnout of alumni to help kick off the 2013-04 season.
The Alumni were led by a group of past Lady Cannoneers spanning roughly a 20 year time period from the early 1990's to recent 2013 graduates! Returning Lady Cannoneers were as follows:
Niki Seller Snyder, 1993 Nicole Scoville, 1995 Sara Gerken, 1995 Sarah Waite, 2001 Janessa Kucik, 2001 Krystal Wheeler, 2004 Courtney Tryon, 2005 Jessica Blair, 2005 Nicole Perry, 2009 Tara Gervera, 2009 Jennifer Jones, 2009 Ashley Chartrand, 2009 Joelle Percy, 2011 Dalian Ramos, 2013 Amber Dibble, 2013 Tapulei Vaveao, 2013Alesha Waterman led the cannoneer attack notching 23 points, while sophomore guard and captain Jasmine Canady was right behind with 20 points and 6 assists. Amanda Roberts, and Alyssa Crosby each tallied 8 and 7 points to go along with 7 rebounds for the Cannoneers. Janessa (Stockwell) Kucik, and Nicole Perry led the charge for the Alumni.
