SUNY Jefferson swept a home doubleheader vs Finger Lakes on Thursday, winning by scores of 13-2 and 18-4.
Layla Killino pitched the win in game one allowing only 4 hits and striking out 6 Lakers. The Cannoneers were lead offensively by Killino who was 2 for 4 including a double, Kayla Warden who tripled and scored 3 runs and Brooke Matys who had 3 runs batted in. Shea O'Dell was the winning pitcher in game 2. O'Dell struck out 7, allowing 5 hits. Warden, Matys, and Scout Preston each had 3 hits and each scored 4 runs in the Cannoneer's victory. Matys and Preston also drove in 3 runs.
The Cannoneers host Corning Community College on Sunday.
