In the doubleheader match up on Saturday against the Cayuga Lady Spartans, the Lady Cannoneers lost both 2-1 and 12-2.
In the first game, Courtney LaFlesh led Jefferson with 2 hits, 1 RBI. Logan Labiendo, Janey Rolfe, and Natalie Wicks, each had a hit. Courtney LaFlesh pitched 6 innings and struck out 4 batters.
The second game of the doubleheader proved to be yet another tough loss for the Lady Cannoneers. Natalie Wicks led Jefferson with 2 hits, while Kalen Hyde added 1 hit, 2 RBI's.
Bryanna Powell pitched 5 innings, struck out 3 batters.
The Lady Cannoneers hope to come back tomorrow in their home opener against Herkimer College. The games will be played at 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
