Jefferson Men's Soccer Open Season on the Road
Tomorrow the Jefferson Men's Soccer team will start their season off away at Tompkins Cortland Community College.
The Men's soccer team will spring into action as they open Mid State conference play at TC3 Wednesday. It will be the first game of the season and mark a new era for JCC soccer as Coach Vaadi looks to lead the Cannoneers for the first time. The Cannoneers have seven returning players with Makeem Huggins, Brenden Jacobs, Eric Gibbs, Kyle Barker, Abdul Sanderson, Hayden Peterson and Andrew Johnson. The Cannoneers have also added depth to their roster this year with 14 new players. Leading the way for newcomers will be transfer Breven Jacobs, Alex Brandes, and Australian freshmen Edward Goodall, Tim Irwin, Luke Theodore, Patrick Rosato, and Ching Lok Au from China. Local products Matthew Lajuett, Hunter Birchenough, Ian Collins, Ryan Davis, Dylan Terry, Colby LaPlatney, and Logan Brothers make for an interesting line up that could see the Cannoneers improve on last year's record.
On Saturday the Cannoneers will have their Home Opener on Saturday against Erie Community College at 3:30 pm. Come on out and show your support of the Jefferson Men's Soccer Team!
