The Cannoneers traveled to Saranac Lake to take on the North Country Saints and came away with a disappointing 77-68 loss. It was a defensive battle for the first 5 minutes of the game as neither team could pull away or score much. Things started to fall into place, and the scoring would pick up with Saints leading 36-26 at half. The Cannoneers would tie the game in the second half, only to see the Saints hit a couple of clutch 3 pointers to pull away for the victory. Leading the way for the Cannoneers were Marcus Castine with 16 points followed by Aydin Bryan with 14 points, Brandon Dodge with 13 and Jaydon Koiner with 11 points in the losing cause.
The Cannoneers would bounce back nicely on the second day of the road trip with an impressive 88-78 road win at Clinton. It was close at half as the Cannoneers lead 36-34, but the second half would tell a different story. The Cannoneers came out running in the second half and would extend their lead to 20 points on a couple of occasions, only to see the Cougars get to with 5 points with under a minute to go. The Cannoneers would sink clutch free throws down the stretch to secure the Region III victory. Leading the way for the Cannoneers was Jaydon Koiner with a career high of 32 points. Marcus Castine would have another solid game while contributing 18 points. It was a well-rounded effort after these 2 as 5 other players had between 6-8 points. A good road win for the Cannoneers.
