Jefferson Golf Hosts Jefferson Invitational

The Cannoneer golf team had a three-day weekend while hosting their home tournament at Highland Meadows on Friday. The Cannoneers took 4^th place out of seven teams with a team score of 318. The team was led by returning sophomores Carson Barrett and Tanner Esposito. Barrett finished the day with an impressive score of a 73 placing him tied for 4^th and earning him MSAC medalist. Esposito finished his round shooting a 77 placing him tied for 10^th. Esposito also received MSAC honors with his great play. 

Saturday the Cannoneers traveled to Herkimer for the Generals Invitational. Carson Barrett led the Cannoneers with a score of a 79. Barrett finished just inside the top 10 being tied for 9^th with multiple other players for the region. 

On Sunday, the Cannoneers played at Oneida Golf Club for the Mohawk Valley Invitational. The team finished in 2^nd place out of all the region 3 teams with a team score of 333. Christian Summers played a very steady round shooting an 80 leading the Cannoneers to their 2^nd place finish. 

The Cannoneers head to Jamestown next weekend for the Region 3 Championship. They will play on Sunday 5/10 and Monday 5/11 for a chance to make the NJCAA Golf National Tournament.
