Jefferson welcomes back Jack Mills & Ben Wiley while getting the win over SUNY Canton Club
Jefferson defeats SUNY Canton Club Hockey Team
In their return to Watertown, Jack Mills and Ben Wiley, former players on the JCC squad led a strong effort by SUNY Canton on Sunday evening. However, Jefferson Community College showcased its offensive firepower and team depth in a commanding 6–2 win over SUNY Canton. The Cannoneers set the tone early, striking three times in the opening period and never looking back. Two more goals in the second and one in the third sealed the victory, while Canton managed just a pair of tallies in the first two frames.
Jefferson's relentless attack was on full display, outshooting the Kangaroos 45–22 and keeping constant pressure in the offensive zone. The game carried plenty of physical intensity, with both sides battling hard and trading penalties, but Jefferson's discipline and execution proved decisive.
Between the pipes, Presley Patrin anchored the Cannoneers for nearly 50 minutes, turning aside 15 of 17 shots before Brodie MacGregor closed out the final stretch with a steady performance, stopping all five shots he faced.
Offensively, Mason Jeeves led the charge with two goals and an assist, while teammates Colin Whitmore, Drew Blevins, Dylan Johnson, and Owen Ebersol each added to the scoring sheet. SUNY Canton's Jack Mills and John McClear provided sparks for their squad, but Jefferson's balanced attack and depth across the lineup carried the day.
With this decisive win, Jefferson not only demonstrated its scoring prowess but also reinforced its reputation as a team built on resilience, depth, and determination.
