The Cannoneers delivered a high-energy performance on Saturday October 25, securing a dramatic 2–1 overtime victory against LeMoyne. From the opening faceoff, JCC controlled the pace, keeping sustained pressure in LeMoyne's zone and dominating possession early.
Despite the strong start, LeMoyne struck first with just under six minutes remaining in the opening period. A miscue at the blue line led to a breakaway opportunity, which LeMoyne converted to take a 1–0 lead. Undeterred, the Cannoneers continued to dictate play for the remainder of the first and carried that momentum into the second period. Several quality scoring chances were generated, but LeMoyne's goaltending held firm, preserving their lead heading into the third.
The Cannoneers entered the final period determined to turn the tide. Their persistence paid off with a crucial equalizer by Captain Cameron Winebar, leveling the score at 1–1. JCC maintained control throughout the third, but once again, LeMoyne's netminder kept the game knotted, forcing overtime.
In the extra frame, the Cannoneers continued their dominant play. A strong defensive effort created a transition opportunity, and freshmen standout Dylan "DJ" Johnson capitalized with a clutch game-winning goal, sealing the 2–1 victory. Avery Zenger earned the win in Goal for JCC!
