Jefferson Baseball Fall to the Vikings

Game 1 Report 4/25/26:

The Cannoneers look to continue their winning streak against the Hudson Valley Vikings. Top of the 1st, the Cannoneers get the 1, 2, 3 out with a fly out, strikeout and caught stealing third.  Bottom of the 1st, #28 Yuliano Lopez hits a double to lead off the Cannoneers. #28 Yuliano Lopez scores on an error giving the Cannoneers the 1-0 lead. Top of the 2nd , the Vikings strike back by putting up 3 runs from a rbi single, a sac fly and a rbi double making the 3-1 Vikings.  Top of the 3rd, the Vikings extend their lead by adding 19 runs to the board from a home run, a 2 run homer, a rbi single, a rbi double, a 2 rbi triple, an error, ball 4, a sac hit, a 2 rbi single, a grand slam and another 2 rbi single making the score 22-1 Vikings. Top of the 4th, the Vikings put up 2 more runs with a sac hit and a rbi single making the score 24-1. The Cannoneers had a quiet rest of the game with only 3 hits and 4 errors with a final score of 24-1 Vikings

Game 2 Report 4/25/26:

The Cannoneers look to make a comeback after the tough loss in game 1 against the Vikings.  Top of the 1st , the Vikings strike with a sac fly to give the Vikings the 1-0 lead. Top of the 2nd , a 2 run homer to extend the Viking lead 3-0. Top of the 3 rd, the Vikings add 2 more runs with another 2 run homer making the score 5-0. Top of the 4th, the Vikings yet again add 2 more runs due to an error 7-0. Top of the 6th , the Vikings added 4 with a sac fly and a 3 run homer. Bottom of the 6th , the Cannoneers will finally get on the board with #11 Nick Spivey with a 2 run homer to make the score 11-2. Bottom of the 7th, the Cannoneers add 1 more run with #6 Daniel Storey hitting a rbi single. The Cannoneers had 5 hits with 2 errors. #5 Grant Clark threw a complete game. The final score being 11-3 Vikings.

Game 1 Report 4/26/26:

The Cannoneers look to make a comeback at Hudson Valley. Cannoneers strike first in the top of the 1st with #4 Ryan Murnane hits a rbi single bring give the Cannoneers the 1-0 lead against the Vikings. Bottom of the 1st, the Vikings answer with a rbi single, a 2 rbi single and a sac fly to give the Vikings the 4-1 lead. Top of the 2nd, the Cannoneers close the gap with #28 Yuliano Lopez knocking a 2 rbi single making the game 4-3 Vikings. Quiet game until bottom of the 4th with a rbi single for the Vikings making the game 5-3. Top of the 7th, #22 Omari Williams knocks a rbi double to close the gap 5-4. Ultimately the Cannoneers fall short with a final score of 5-4. The Cannoneers had 9 hits with 0 errors. #28 Yuliano Lopez goes 2-4 with 2 rbi singles. #17 Kyle Peterson has another complete game. 

Game 2 Report 4/26/26:

The Cannoneers look to recover from the close loss in game 1. Top of the 1st, #20 Braiden Bley gets struck by pitch to bring in a run making the game 1-0. Top of the 2nd, #1 Hunter Kirnie scores on a wild pitch giving the Cannoneers the 2-0 lead. Bottom of the 4th, the Vikings strike with a sac fly to bring in a run making the score 2-1. Bottom of the 5th, another sac fly will bring in another run for the Vikings tying up the game 2-2. Top of the 6th, the Cannoneers strike back with #6 Daniel Storey hitting a sac fly to bring in a run. #1 Hunter Kirnie will also hit a sac fly to bring in another run giving the Cannoneers the lead again of 4-2. Bottom of the 6th, the Vikings strike back again with a 2 rbi single and 2 rbi doubles. The Cannoneers would fall short again the Vikings with a final score of 6-4. The Cannoneers would have 6 hits and 0 errors. #7 Nathan Eccleston has a complete game.
