Game 1
The Cannoneers played their first home series of the season against the Fulton Montgomery Raiders this Sunday. The Cannoneers would find themselves in a tough spot to the start game letting up 6 runs off four hits. The Cannoneers would answer with 1 run in the bottom half of the first inning. Sophomore Nate Eccleston would came into the game in relief pitching 4.2 innings allowing only 1 run. The Cannoneer bats would continue to strike scoring in each frame of the game. Ryan Murnane had a solid day at the plate with a double, triple and 4 RBI's. Nick Spivey would hit his first homerun of the season which was an in the park shot to deep center field. Braiden Bley continued his strong campaign at the plate with a double and game ending homerun. Bley recorded 5 RBI's on the day and secured the Cannoneer victory in 5 innings with a score of 19-7.
Game 2
Brady Parker would take the hill for the Cannoneers to start game 2. Parker would start the game off strong allowing no runs in the first 2 innings of play. Parker went on to throw 2.1 innings allowing 4 runs on 4 hits. The Cannoneer bats stayed hot producing runs in every inning of play. Nick Spivey and Hunter Kirnie both recorded doubles followed by a Yuliano Lopez triple and a big homerun by Sophomore Oiram Williams which would take the lead 6-3 in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Bryce Fordemwalt would come into the game in relief pitching 2.2 innings allowing only 1. Nate Eccleston, Braiden Bley and Oiram Williams combined for 8 RBI's on the day. Grant Clark would close the game for the Cannoneers pitching 2.0 innings allowing 3 runs and secured the Cannoneer victory by a score of 13-8. The Cannoneers are on the road Thursday at Fulton Montgomery.
