Jefferson Softball Weekend Results

It was Jefferson's turn to host this weekend, hosting Jamestown Community College on Saturday and Alfred State on Sunday, splitting both days.

On Saturday, the Lady Cannoneers lost the first game 12-3.  Jessica Peters had a 2-run single in that game.  In the second game Jefferson won 9-4.  Lena Netto with 3-4 with 2 RBI's and Chelsea Monroe scored 2 runs and had 4 stolen bases.

On Sunday the Lady Cannoneers took charge with a  10-4 win against Alfred State, but fell to Alfred in the second game 4-3.  In Game 1 Lindsey Croneiser threw a 1 hitter with 2 strikeouts, Kari Gehrke hit a triple and drove in 3 runs.  Lena Netto also had another successful day at the plate going 2-3 with 2 RBI's, with a double and a triple in each game. 

The Jefferson Softball team will play tomorrow, Tuesday, April 17, 2012 here at the Watertown Fairgrounds in a double header against Herkimer County Community College.  The first game of the double header is set for 3:00 PM.
