Freshman Right-Handed Pitcher, Joshua L. Amann, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) Baseball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending March 18, 2012.
Watertown, NY--Freshman Right-Handed Pitcher, Joshua L. Amann, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) Baseball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending March 18, 2012. JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions. Joshua, a 2011 graduate of Carthage Central School District, is majoring in Criminal Justice at Jefferson. Amann’s accomplishments on the mound this past week include pitching a complete game victory against Division I Hagerstown Community College on Friday. Josh pitched 7 innings, had 85 pitches, and threw 60 strikes, had only 2 runs scored 1 of which was earned. He walked 2 batters, gave up 6 hits, and threw 2 strikeouts. He also was 2-6 with 3 RBI, 1 run, and a double against Division II Frederick Community College on Sunday.
